Guncha opened in the 90's to share this beauty with others originally the private home of a French man. The address has an exclusive location directly facing the mighty Himalaya, guests can enjoy a sunrise and sunset all in one view of the Dhauladhar Pir Panjal Mountain ranges. Our guests guarantee says it all.

Warm. The address offers 15 rooms ideal for family, friends and the solo-traveller. Guncha prides itself in offering homely and hospitable service. From your Reservations with our team to your Check out, we aim for consistency. Guncha has been awarded 2 recognitions in 2017 for Outstanding hospitality. Winner of two awards in 2017, outstanding hospitality. As well as being recognized by Fodors Of London for our location. June 2022 see's a streamlined and improved service for in-house guests. Guncha continues to pioneer its philosophy of 'upliftment & invigoration' at the heart of its hospitality.
FOOD
100% Vegetarian. Guncha is one of the only hotels in Dalhousie that is fully vegetarian and non alcoholic. Our food is prepared from locally sourced produce and seasonal. We do not use or serve fish or egg in any of our foods however dairy is used in some dishes. Our inhouse food menu is focused on providing what we do best with a streamlined yet traditional selection. For Jain families, please inform us prior to your stay for special preparation. We also serve tea & coffee on the terrace, simple treasures!

Captivating. Guncha is ideally located if you want to discover Dalhousie, situated mid way between the main bus stand and walking distance to Gandhi Chowk Place (GPO) - Moti Tiba. Dalhousie is a small mountain town, 2700M above sea level and offers an alternative holiday destination to the busy city life. Dalhousie is located on the Western edge of the Dhauladhar mountain range of the Himalaya's. It is surrounded by snow capped peaks. Places to visit, GPO, Panjpulla, Bakrota Hills. Shopping: Handicrafts, Hand tufted Tibetan rugs, GPO Bazaar. The journey to Dalhousie can be enjoyed with many natural wonders to see, waterfalls, mountain roads, small local villages, mountain wildlife. We recommend you check your journey time and ensure our destination is right for you. We encourage our guests to read unbiased views online prior to confirming your stay. Our premises is focused on natures views & open space and that is what our guests love the most about us. Since establishment 1995, Guncha opened its doors to this bold way of cuisine and became highly in demand. We also cater for Jain guests. An improved and more select menu from 2022 providing what we do best.

ICONIC VIEWS
Known for our ICONIC location in Dalhousie town, we offer walk out views with exceptionally large spaces. Our room terraces are extremely large and offer unobstructed views of the Himalaya. Perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
If you prefer to view the morning sunrise at 5am simply walk outside your room. Self initiate a private meditation session with the Himalaya.
BED LINEN & TOWELS
Rooms & Suites offer bed linen and towels in all room categories with each stay. Daily room cleaning is on request. Higher room categories include some toiletries.
All rooms include king sized beds and medium to firm bedding.

Your car parking is complimentary and included in your stay. Limited parking for guests only in house. Parking can be rare to find in Dalhousie during busy seasons. Parking is complimentary at Guncha and included in your stay (for inhouse guests only).
