RESERVATIONS THINGS TO KNOW

GST not applicable on room rates until further notice as per government of India.  Discretionary service charge maybe applicable on food service taken during stay. (Vat & Service tax not applicable). Best Practice: we are currently closed until 31/10/2022, undergoing refurbishment at Hotel Guncha. Refurbishments will continue until October 2022. We apologize for any disruption this may cause to find out more call our Reservations line, alternatively view information available online. All reservations are confirmed with advance payments only. Please note all Terms & conditions, policies are available online for our customers to view, applicable to all Reservations. The price shown is based on the occupancy and dates you have searched for. Prices and availability are subject to change based on the arrival date, number of nights and occupancy searched for.

CHECK IN GUIDELINES IN ACCORDANCE WITH GOV.IN

All guests are required to provide a government issued photo ID at check-in. Persons of Non Indian origin are required to fill in a C-FORM on arrival as required by gov.in. Payment for accommodation charges is required upon arrival as well as credit card pre-authorisation for incidental charges.

From 2020 Hotel Guncha Siddhartha is no longer partnered with Oyo.  Hotel Guncha Siddhartha is under independent management. The premises is closed until October 2022 and reopens for reservations from October 2022 onward. Covid-19 precautions taken as per  GOV.India guidelines. Please note Hotel Guncha is currently undergoing enhancements until March 2022, we thank our guests for their continued support and patience in helping us with their continued support and custom. Terms and Conditions apply to all inquiries and reservations at Hotel Guncha Siddhartha, direct or indirect. By inquiring, reserving, staying via, online, call, in person, via third party not limited to; with Hotel Guncha Siddhartha you accept the use of these terms and conditions.

 

Welcome to the Hotel Guncha Siddhartha terms and conditions section, kindly ensure you read the information here below, these terms and conditions apply to all customers direct or indirect, website and social media visitors and any third party whatsoever and wheresoever concerns;

 

Definitions:

Hotel Guncha Siddhartha is also known as - Hotel Guncha, Guncha, HGD, Hotel Guncha Siddhartha, Guncha Siddhartha and for the purposes of these terms and conditions hereinafter collectively referred to as "we", "our" or "us".

Boutique Style

1. of or denoting a small specialized producer or business - a hotel/hospitality segment that offers a form of uniqueness ie: location, service, building, brand, ideal not limited to.

Customer, Guest, Client A person who buys goods or services from a shop or business; a person staying at a hotel or guest house; a person or organization using the services of a lawyer or other professional person or company.

 

Website
A location connected to the Internet that maintains one or more web pages.

 

Bookings
An act of reserving accommodation, a ticket, etc. in advance.

 

Rates
A fixed price paid or a rate charged for something. Standard Tariff, as approved by Travel & Tourism department HP.GOV.IN

 

High Season
The most popular time of year at Hotel Guncha Siddhartha, or tourist attraction in Dalhousie when prices are highest. Not applicable to basic tariff rates only applies to Packages.

 

Low Season
Off Season time of year at Hotel Guncha Siddhartha or tourist attraction in Dalhousie when special rates are offered. Not applicable to basic tariff rates only applies to Packages.

 

Set Menu
Set Menus mean guests can chose from a selection of a Set selection, this applies to Guncha Siddhartha Hotel CP and MAP basic Tariff rates (breakfast or breakfast and dinner included rates only for maximum 2 adults or 4 adults relevant to the rate booked). Guests can chose from the Set Menu of upto INR 600 for breakfast and INR 1000 for Dinner. Any extra will be chargeable.

 

Subject to availability 

Offers, rooms, and the like can only be provided subject to availability as first come first serve, unless explicitly agreed by Reservations in writing.

Foreign Guests C Forms

Please be aware all our foreign guests/customers will be required to fill in a C- Form at the time of Check - In as per Government of India national requirements for the benefit of Foreign guests. Our front desk will request you to fill in details using Capital letters on the form provided whilst you are being Checked - In for your stay.
We thank our guests for their patience and support. Please note although, our official language is Hindi/Punjabi, English being the second language, we ask our guests to be clear on their written forms to avoid any errors, thank you for your understanding. 

 

GOVERNMENT OF INDIA TAXES (HP.Gov)

12% - 18% GST applicable on all Reservations as per Excise and Taxation department Government of India. Your rate booked will reflect the same and final amount payable will include relevant taxation.

SERVICE CHARGES (CP/MAP)

10% Service charges applicable on Rates booked with Breakfast or Breakfast & Dinner. Food bills will reflect the same and all bills will be payable as final with SC of 10% only.  Levied for Service provided on food restaurant, room service, CP MAP only, (Discretionary) until further notice.

 

Best Practice Serving Positively - General Behaviours 

At Hotel Guncha Siddhartha we welcome and look after our guests with homely hospitality to make their stay comfortable, we do expect our guests to treat our staff with a polite manner, any unruly behavior will not be accepted. Please note our first languages are Hindi/Pahari/Punjabi and we speak basic English. We request you to please be sympathetic to other cultures, all our staff are locally employed. Hotel Guncha Siddhartha takes pride in employing local. We are always thankful for any feedback our guests, customers clients offer. Guests are to be reminded that Dalhousie is a hill station location and with mountainous terrain for adults and children, please respect your surroundings. Hotel Guncha Siddhartha holds no responsibility for any consequential damages, loss, accidents whatsoever or howsoever caused to your personal belongings. We do not serve alcohol or allow alcohol in the hotel. Any bookings through travel agents may incur extra charges or variable rates guests always have a choice to select from prior to making any bookings.

 

Security

Hotel Guncha Siddhartha reserves the right to carry out security searches upon entry to the hotel and to refuse entry to any member of the public visiting or resident at the hotel as per GOV.India guidelines and for the safety of our premises and other customers.

 

Loss/Damages to Hotel property 

Should there be any major damages to Hotel Guncha Siddhartha property during your stay as a result of your stay, we will seek compensation directly from the individuals or those individuals indirectly held responsible and hold the right to charge for damages, which will be required to be paid in full.

 

Personal Property

We urge our guests to ensure they keep their personal belongings and expensive items with them at all times, we accept no consequential loss, damage whatsoever and we do not provide in room safes.

 

Communications
All communications you make to the Hotel Guncha Siddhartha including but not limited to feedback, comments, questions, suggestions you shall have no right to confidentiality of these unless explicitly stated, you shall have no obligation to protect your communications from disclosure, Hotel Guncha Siddhartha shall be free to use any ideas, concepts, know-how, content or techniques contained in your communications for any purpose whatsoever including marketing and advertising of Hotel Guncha Siddhartha this information is obligated by our commitment to your personal information please view our privacy policy section

 

Hotel Guncha Siddhartha information online and otherwise may contain technical inaccuracies, typographical errors including not limited to inaccuracies relating to rates, package pricing applicable to your transaction or bookings and or use of our facilities. Hotel Guncha Siddhartha shall assume no obligation to honor the above if affected by inaccuracies and will automatically adjust the mentioned accordingly. We reserve the right to make changes, corrections, improvements, cancellations and so forth to products and services at anytime without notice including after confirmation of transactions by guests. We advise our customers to confirm their bookings via direct communication with Hotel Guncha Siddhartha unless otherwise booked through a third party.

 

Booking Procedures and Payments (Offer & Acceptance):

In order to facilitate Caveat Emptor (Latin) buyer onus, we recommend you inform your potential stay prior to confirming your booking at Hotel Guncha Siddhartha via online portals, by calling our Reservations team or in person visit, we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have. You agree you will only make legitimate reservations and good faith for use by you and your invited guests only and not for any other purposes whatsoever in accordance with the Hotel Guncha Siddhartha policies as listed in this section.

ADVANCE PAYMENT 

Advance payment bookings only

We cannot unfortunately confirm your reservation without advance payments as specified in your provisional reservation information.

 

All bookings are confirmed upon receipt of advance payment of 60% - 80% of the booking value, advance payments are as follows - payments can be made directly to our bank account. For one night stays only a full 100% advance payment is required without which reservations cannot be confirmed. Please speak with hotel front desk on + 91 (0) 181 462 4005 OR +91 (0)1899 242 709 for bank details to make your advance payments. The remaining balance of _% is payable upon check out in full by cash only, currently our pay by debit and credit card services are in process of release customers will be notified on our website when this facility becomes available. Guests can choose to pay the full amount required with the advance payment as per the rate/package booked if preferred.


Please note, the advance payment 80% or 100% payment does not include your amenities and extra hotel services used unless the package you have booked explicitly states otherwise, excluding any extras. Extras - Use of services and amenities includes restaurants, food, room services, minibar and anything that is not explicitly included in your package/rate (not restricted to).

 

We do not accept personal schedule/credit based reservations and a signing facility is extended only to those with corporate accounts that have an explicit agreement of credit facility with our hotel as provided in writing. We may however accept corporate companies schedule only upon explicit agreement in writing with Hotel Guncha Siddhartha, where agreed by both.

 

Food/Beverages
Please note we are a pure vegetarian hotel and do not serve alcohol on our premises. We thank our guests to respect our healthy living ideals. Food, Extras, Beverages Live Bills are finalised during your stay and presented during stay as per Guest purchases. Most of our produce used in cooking is local source and often certain dishes maybe out of season or out of stock please speak with your waiter at the time of selecting your food.

 

Upgrades
Please note upgrades to higher categories are subject to availability at an extra charge, guests would require to pay the difference in room rate or package booked.

 

Special Requests

Thank you for making any special requests before or during your stay. Please note special requests are an extension of our hospitality to our guests, your requests are noted and we do our best to assist your request. Please be aware all requests are subject to availability and terms & conditions apply. During busy periods, availability may be fully occupied/requests may not be possible at that time due to the mentioned constraints. We thank you.

 

Check-in times
The hotel check-in time is any time after 14:00 local time until 23:00, guests must ensure they inform the hotel reception services if they are arriving later than the expected time. Check-in requires guest(s) valid and up to date information for their bookings with necessary proof of valid Identification. Credit card details will be required for in room services, payable at check-out or a deposit of INR1000 will be held and given back to the guest upon check - out less any extra charges. Early check-in is subject to availability and subject to one night rate charges, please confirm with reception front-desk for further information. Please note that during extremely busy seasons it may not be possible to accommodate early check-in requests. Please note: we can only accept last Check - In until 23:30 due to the nature of location, should you require a late Check - In please ensure you confirm availability via Reservations + 91 (0) 181 462 4005 minimum 3 days in advance of your stay. If a guest has not checked in during the Check - In times as described it will be considered a 'No Show' non refundable (please view our cancelation policies). The Guncha Siddhartha Hotel closes its premises at 00:00 although staying guests are able to request any late provisions subject to availability. Late Check - In after 23:00 may be subject to charges. 

 

Check-out times

Check-out time is strictly by 12:00 local time, please ensure you check-out at 12:00 and ensure your check-out is processed with our front desk. Failure to checkout at check - out time will be liable to pay for an extra day/part room rent, unless explicit confirmation has been granted by our hotel reception services confirming the late check-out without further charges. Late check-outs are subject to availability at an extra charge, these may not be possible during extremely busy seasons. 

 

Cancellation Policies
 

*Standard cancellation  Policies 

Please ensure you read our cancellation policy carefully, also please note that we accept only a minimum of 60% - 100% of the booking value (at the time of booking) as an advance payment in order to confirm your booking. This applies to all direct customers and all third party agents affiliated with The Guncha Siddhartha:

* 25% of the room rent or package rate booked will be deducted if cancelled 30 or more days prior to check-in date
* 50% of the room rent or package rate booked will be deducted if cancelled 10 or up to 29 days prior to check-in date
*100% of the room rent or package rate booked will be deducted if cancelled less than 3 or up to 9 days prior to arrival

The cancellation fee will be deducted in full from your advance payment made according to the above criteria.

(If your advance payment made is 80% of the total value of your booking and you cancel your stay between 3 or up to 9 days you will be liable to pay the remaining 20% in full).

 

*Non refundable rates 

From time to time we may offer a special discount on standard rates, due to offered discount at the time of booking these rates will fall under non refundable should the client wish to cancel their booking after making an advance payment. Unless otherwise stated during the time of making your booking. Please view your provisional reservation information alternatively please speak with us prior to making your booking.

 

*(For customers who cancel their third party online booking and have a change of mind after they themselves cancel their booking -please view policy below) , unless directly booked with us, we do not offer refunds for bookings made through our third party affiliated travel agents please go back to the agent you have booked through: Please note The Guncha Siddhartha Hotel, reserves the right to release your room immediately after you have cancelled from any reservations that have been made through any online third party travel agent (such as Agoda.com, TG etc). Our cancellation fees as outlined above will still apply and these will be paid by the respective third party agent through which you have booked and made your advance payment (these are non refundable). If you decide to keep your booking after cancelling it through your original booking method, your room may not be available (due to immediate release after cancelling, or at the same rate), if you wish to keep your booking after you have canceled it through the third party agent yourself, then the guest must make a full payment according to their stay directly at the hotel as they would have already received a refund from the previous cancellation. No credits allowed all reservation payments must be made at the outset.

 

*Booked via a third party agent

Cancellations in such instances, the applicable policy shall be as advised at the time of confirming your reservation via the third party - agent.

 

Shortening of stay

In any event should your stay be shortened due to any reason and you endeavour to leave before the completion of your initial length of stay, you are liable to pay the full amount of your package/rate booked. No refunds will be offered as per Hotel Guncha Siddhartha Policies. No refunds will be given to reservations to third party agents.

 

(ADR) Customer service satisfaction: although we Endeavour to ensure our hospitality is up to a high standard, should any complaints arise by guests during their stay, this must be advised to our reception management to be dealt with whilst the guest is at the hotel not once left. Please note, complaints should be of a valid reason where by a service is not functioning correctly unless force majeure, weather issues and disruptions to our services in which case we cannot control such occurrences. Although we welcome feedback from our guests to help us improve our services and hospitality however refunds will not be offered in any instance. The management team will do their best to tend to any issue your custom is important to us. We Endeavour to get back to you with within 10 days from the day of receiving your complaint, if a complaint is made via any third party or 7 days after your stay directly by the guest (in some cases it may take longer). Should their be a complaint made in relation to a booking confirmed through a travel agent/agency, the complaint must be made directly to the relevant party and not directly to Hotel Guncha Siddhartha. Please note the specifications of our property and what we offer in our accommodation are commonly known to all our affiliated Travel agents as this information is correctly provided at the outset with regular updates. Should there be any unlikely major disruptions to any of our hotel services, this information will be on our website for customers as well as our affiliated third party travel agents or we will notify you on reception. Please also note, that unfortunately we are a small standardised hotel and we may not cater to each and every individuals 'tastes' we cannot accept complaints other than those in relevance to the above. In the unlikely event in which we have made an error with guest details we will ensure that we exercise our commitment to offering a resolution as soon as possible. We ask for your cooperation and patience. Thank you, we are always striving to be better.

 

Please note; we are a mountain region hotel and due to geographical locations, altitudes disruptions can happen over which we have no control. These may be disruptions such as WIFI connections, tv signals, electrical outage, water outage. We will Endeavour to extend our warmth and hospitality as best as possible in the unlikely event should this occur.

 

A strict policy on violence, aggression and abuse.

We do our best to serve you well with respect and attention, we request you to offer us your respect as well. Please note, we won't tolerate violence, physical aggression or verbal or written abuse towards our staff or agents. If it happens, we can take legal action or report it to the police. During any service issues that may happen from time to time we will do our utmost best to resolve your matter swiftly and provide consistent hospitable service. We are here to serve you positively.

 

High Altitudes, remote location, location limitations

Guests with respiratory issues or any major health concerns should take note of the remote location limitations, journey times and weather conditions in the mountains and high altitude. Hotel Guncha Siddhartha holds no responsibility whatsoever and howsoever in any given circumstance. Guests are responsible for themselves and should ensure they are equipped for hill side resorts geographical locations. The Hotel accepts no responsibility for the death, bodily injury or disease arising from any cause whatsoever to: a) Persons visiting the Hotel and/or the allocated rooms on behalf of, at the invitation of, or at the request of the Client, whether such death injury or disease occurs within the allocated rooms or in any other part of the Hotel. Please plan responsibly.

 

Heaters
We are not a centrally heated hotel, and offer heaters, chargeable, heaters can be rod heaters or blowers subject to availability. Please ask at reception for charges, during the winter season some rates include heaters. Please bring warm clothing for winter mountains and check the weather before travel.

 

No Air-conditioning
We currently do not offer air conditioned rooms, NON/AC only

 

Himalayan Weather
Please note Himalayan mountain weather can be extremely severe during peak winter (snowfall), please ensure you are fully prepared. We take no responsibility whatsoever howsoever for the weather conditions and forces of nature.

Rates are approved by the Government of Himachal Pradesh department of Tourism, India.

Please note that Hotel Guncha Siddhartha rates vary during seasons, please ensure you check below the relevant rate & dates during the time of your booking. Packages can be extended on a pro-rata basis, please confirm with our front desk. Package inclusions are based on 2 adults per room only and does not include extra guest(s), a maximum of one extra bed may be allowed depending on your room size/category, charges apply. Please ensure you check your package inclusions prior to your arrival, please review our child policies below. The below dates are NOT Applicable to our standard rates, Standard rates are fixed through out the year unless any offers are available subject to availability. Terms and Conditions apply.

 

*High Season Package Rates
High season package rates apply during the following dates and to packages only - March to July, which means our standard rates apply. Mid season - September to December (variable offers available), all other months we offer special offers at point of call/booking.

 

Extra Bed:
Extra bed charges apply, INR 1000/- (EP/ bed only), INR 1300 (CP) or INR 1600 (MAP), per person, per night 12% - 18% GST depending on room category of extra bed booked. Please note that a maximum of 1 extra bed can be allowed depending on the size of your room. Some rooms cannot accommodate extra beds due to size restrictions please speak with reservations at the time of your booking or your relevant Travel Agent. Beds can be floor beds or stand beds dependant on availability. 

 

Child Policy:
Hotel Guncha Siddhartha allows up to 2 children under the age of 10 years complimentary stay with your booked rate. More than 2 children under 10 years requires 15% extra charge for total rate booked. Guests can chose to adjust young child in their own room without extra bed. Please inform us at the time of your booking of your preferences. Please note limitations on Extra beds can include room size booked, no availability during extra busy periods.

  • 2 Children up to 10 years of age are complimentary.

  • More than 2 children under 10 years charges may be applicable.

  • Children from 11-18 years of age will be charged at 20% per child of the package booked, subject to availability.

  • Persons who are 18 years of age and over are treated as adults.

 

Definition of plan categories:

  • EP - room only rates

  • CP - Breakfast included for upto 2 adults rate per room per night or per package, no further inclusions unless explicitly stated.

  • MAP - Breakfast and Dinner included for upto 2 adults per room or per package, no further inclusions unless explicitly stated.

 

The above categories do not include any extras taken by guests during their stay such as - mini bar use, Full menu selection not included in SET MENU, extra food and beverages consumed charges will apply. We ask our guests to please ensure they check what their reservation includes to avoid any disappointment at the outset.

Basic tariff includes the following food menus- CP or MAP - guests have a choice of breakfast or dinner from our 'SET MENU' only. Breakfast per 2 adults choice from our SET MENU only and Dinner from our SET MENU per day 2 adults (if you book a bigger room with maximum occupancy of 4 adults your booking will include the above according to your rate booked). Should you chose to select anything not included in the SET MENU guests must pay the difference in rate, quantity limits may apply. Your reservation management will inform you of our selection from the 'SET MENU' upon Check - In for CP or MAP rates guests. Full Menu's are not included in CP or MAP rates, please ensure you check your reservation details to avoid any confusion.

 

Package customers are given the option of our Package SET MENU. Please see booking procedures outlined above.

 

Guest Feedback Online/Paper/In Person/via Third Party:

Hotel Guncha Siddhartha will always try to ensure that we deliver a true service to our guests and make continuous improvements to our practices and custom. We do understand that each customer is an individual and has personalised preferences. Although Hotel Guncha Siddhartha will do its best in order to achieve our customer satisfaction we may fall short on areas and we highly appreciate our customers time in providing us constructive feedback. All feedback is important to us, guests also have the option to leave feedback with us online through trip advisor. In the unlikely event of dissatisfaction during your stay we urge our guests to please speak to management and allow us to provide satisfaction where possible. Please note refunds will not be offered but we will do our best to achieve a desirable outcome in hospitality. Hotel Guncha Siddhartha is undergoing refurbishments until 2018 and during this time we ask our guests/customers to please bare with us. We do thank you for your continued support and hope that you will continue to provide us constructive feedback to ensure we get better and better with each stay. Thank you for your support in helping us to become a number 1 brand step by step.

Pets are not allowed. Guide dogs only for visually impaired individuals are accepted, please inform us 5 days prior to your stay.

Being a remote hillside location sometimes our services can be disrupted due to natural calamities such as weather, felling of trees, issue at local exchanges and these can be beyond our control. These can affect services such as - WiFi, Cable Tv, electricity, Telephone, Intercom, water supplies, hot water not limited too. We ask our guests to please be patient with us, we will use alternative means to try and maintain flow of service where possible and within reason. We will endeavour to resolve the issue as soon as possible and continue to extend our courtesy as best as we can. Your custom is important to us and we ask our guests to please support us in helping provide a timely resolution where possible. Kindly note there maybe certain limitations that take longer to resolve. Thank you.

Third Party Travel agents
Hotel Guncha Siddhartha may work with selected third party travel agents from time to time, agreed explicitly in writing and not otherwise. In the scenario whereby your reservation has been confirmed with our official third party travel agents, our terms and conditions shall still apply. All payments will be made to Hotel Guncha Siddhartha via the respective travel agents or directly to Hotel Guncha Siddhartha booking services via the above mentioned methods - please see Booking procedures above. For third party agencies whom we have not explicitly agreed to work with will be in breach of these terms and conditions and may be liable as per the above for damages.
If you are a travel agent explicitly working with the Hotel Guncha Siddhartha  these terms and conditions apply in whole to you and any customer bookings made through you.

 

Trade Fairs, Exhibitions, Events in the hospitality industry - representation by agents will be subject to guidelines and Hotel Guncha Siddhartha terms and conditions will be applicable.Trade Fairs, Exhibitions, Events in the hospitality industry - representation by agents will be subject to guidelines and policies as outlined in agent/travel agent/third party specific proposal to the concerned agent only. All third parties confirm their unconditional acceptance of these terms and conditions and policies.
