COVID-19 POLICY & UPDATES 

COVID-19 UPDATE INLINE WITH HP GOV.IN

We wish everyone good health and well being, we encourage guests to take precautions when on vacations by following government of India, State Of Himachal Pradesh guidelines. As now Covid restrictions are gradually being eased until the government of India advises otherwise. We can all still make a difference and continue to stay well with self awareness and correct preventive actions. Please support us in supporting your safety and for everyone around us by ensuring you meet all requirements where outlined by government of India State of Himachal Pradesh prior to and throughout your stay with us. Thank you.

 

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS TO STAY AT HOTEL GUNCHA SIDDHARTHA - COVID 19

To ensure your safety, the safety of everyone around whilst staying with us, we request you to provide one of the following upon arrival at entrance;

 

  1. Carry and present your fully vaccinated certification on arrival at Hotel Guncha.

OR

  1. Provide a negative RTPCR report for a test taken 48 hour prior to your arrival along with a proof of ID at the hotel entrance. Please note, we reserve the right to refuse entry should the required information not be provided dependant on government of India guidelines.

 

  • Effective January 12, 2022, proof of full vaccination with any vaccine approved by the Indian government or by WHO, along with proof of ID will be required for those above the age of 18 to enter our hotel. If full proof of vaccination is not available, a negative RTPCR test report 48 hours prior to your stay should be provided by the guest(s) along with proof of ID. These must be shown at the hotel entrance in order to gain entry to the hotel.

  • Proof of vaccination, RT-PC, and ID can be either paper or digital form.

  • Any person under 18 are exempt from the above requirements.

  • Masks should be worn at all times other than your private room areas at our hotel by all those aged 6 or older. Masks one seated for dinning at the restaurant(s) are exempt however once completed please maintain your masks when moving from one location to the other.

 

OUR COMMITMENT TO CLEANLINESS & HYGIENE

Our hotel has a 'best practice' and ‘transparency policy' that has proudly been in place over the last decade. We maintain a consistent standard of cleanliness at our hotel for safety of guests.

We are grateful for the support and trust of our guests in supporting our ‘best practice’ and ‘transparency policy’ and we intend to remain consistent in this. For guest convenience we have listed important measures that are currently maintained by us;

  • Touch points in the public areas of our premises like, door handles, button, counter tops, railings etc are cleaned consistently throughout the day using sanitiser/disinfectant. These practices are also in place when room is prepared for guest check in and during daily cleaning with housekeeper sign off and checked.

  • In the common guest areas of our premises, the windows and ventilation’s remain open where possible, supporting through and through circulation of clean air.

  • For the safety of our guests, all rooms will be sanitised after guest check out as a regular norm of our room preparations.

  • Protocols are in place for staff in kitchen, restaurant, house keeping, waiter services to wear masks and sanitise hands every time they serve food, touch food related items wearing gloves, clean guest rooms and when cleaning common areas of our premises.

  • Cleaning checklists, updated in detail and the use of professional chemical agents that help sanitise areas as advised by gov.in are followed and monitored by our front desk.

  • Supplies and materials are sanitised before being admitted in their relevant areas. Supplies that have been kept in house are pre-sanitised and as such would not require further sanitisation.

  • Hand sanitisers in line with gov.in are in place in all guest rooms, common areas, entrance, lobby, restaurant etc.

  • We ask our guests to disinfect their luggage prior to arriving, although this is not a mandatory requirement.

  • Masks and disposable gloves are worn by all staff members and changed frequently.

  • Housekeeping staff use fresh gloves and mask for each room cleaning.

  • Restaurant has been configured to ensure safe distance between guest of different family.

  • Temperature readings of resident guests are taken at entrance and once in the day. The readings are recorded and monitored for guest own safety.

  • Temperature readings of non-resident guests are taken at entrance to which we reserve the right to no entry where the individual is a non resident.

  • Temperature readings of staff are taken morning and evening.

  • Guest check in - self declaration form is in place at check in which covers covid -19 symptoms questions. Any guest who indicates any of the symptoms maybe refused entry to protect other resident guests already on site. Or a medical examination maybe required at that point prior to check in which will be payable directly by the guest to the medical professional before any entry is granted.

  • If any of the parameters for our guests or colleagues are not normal a medical examination and assistance will be provided immediately.

  • A doctor and professional sanitisation urgent measures are on standby for sanitisation of all areas should anyone be detected with a positive sign of covid-19.

  • Where a case of positive covid-19 is diagnosed (unless advised otherwise by gov.in) instant detailed protocol and procedures would take effect is a guest or colleague needs to be quarantined.

  • A designated COVID-19 Safety manager has been dedicated in the hotel to ensure all standards and protocols are maintained.

GENERIC GOV ADVICE

MOHFW GOV IN has advised the following generic preventive measures (dated 01/03/2021), (A) Person above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities, pregnant woman and children below the age of 10 years are advised to take necessary precautions in terms of maintaining physical distancing, wearing mask properly etc. Hotel management to advise accordingly. Please exercise your own discernment. Thank you.
